In Acadeum Skills Marketplace, there are two data points which refer to billing and payment: Cost and Price.
The Cost of an item refers to the amount set by the product owner. This amount is what the merchant pays the Partner (content supplier) to access their content for resale, and cannot be updated in the platform.
The Price of an item refers to the amount which will be paid by the learner for the content. This Price includes the Cost of the content, plus an added automatic 25% margin.
For example, if the IBM Data Warehouse Engineer program's Cost is $300, the margin would be $75 (25% of $300). Altogether, the Price that learners will pay for the content is $375.
The margin for any product can be updated at any time.
To edit the Price for any piece of learning content, navigate to the Catalog tab in Acadeum.
Once on the Catalog tab, search for the learning content you'd like to edit. After it's located, click the kebab menu to the right of the line item.
Editing Price
To edit the Price of the content, go back to the Catalog tab, search for the desired course, and click the three-dot menu once again. This time, click on the "Change Price" option.
There, you can edit the Price desired and/or the margin, which will automatically update the other once entered.
At this time, products are automatically designated a 25% margin, but this can be updated at any time following the steps above.
